
Roland S. Godsey, CPA
Tax Manager
After serving 8 years in the United States Air Force Roland attended Tarleton State University, where he earned a B.A. in Business, with a concentration in accounting. He received his Texas CPA license in 1983. After working in public accounting in Texas, he moved to California were he obtained his California CPA certification in 1996.
Roland enjoys collecting and reading first edition mysteries and western fiction, creating music CD's from old recordings, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs.
Kathleen Dvorak, CPA
Small Business Services Manager
Kathleen attended the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned her CPA license in 1988. Prior to public accounting she spent 15 years in business management. Kathleen provides a variety of tax and accounting services for our small business clients.
For relaxation, Kathleen enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with the local CPA Society.

Shirley R. Peterson, CPA
Audit Manager
Shirley obtained her BBA in Accountancy and Information Systems from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. She became a Certified Public Accountant in April 1988. A native of West Texas, Shirley moved to the San Antonio area in 2001. Shirley’s career in public accounting has included small business services, tax, and auditing for a variety of industries including oil & gas, construction, employee benefit plans, and professional employment organizations.
Shirley loves cruises and traveling around the country with her husband and son. She loves to shop online and at the outlet mall and enjoys music, movies, books, and reality TV.

Tamara Black, SPHR
Human Resource Services Manager
Tamara has a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Human Resource Management, both from Texas A&M University in College Station. Tamara comes to us as a previous small business owner with a background and education in Human Resources. She maintains a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
Tamara's a competitive water skier and loves old movies!
Lynne M. Grix, CPA, CFE
Senior Forensic Auditor
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Lynne moved to Texas in 1978, after receiving her MBA degree from The University of Michigan. She earned her Texas CPA license in 1981. With over 10 years experience in public accounting, Lynne also has 20 years experience as a controller or CFO in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and banking. She holds securities licenses series 7, 62, 63 and a Group 01 insurance license. She specializes in qualified retirement plans for small and medium size businesses. Lynne achieved a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation in December of 2006 through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Austin, Texas.
Lynne's activities outside the firm include golfing and traveling.

Lynda L. Land, CPA
Senior Staff Accountant
Lynda earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University
of Phoenix. Lynda worked as an accountant for the San Antonio Board of Realtors, and a private family prior to joining the United States Air Force. After nine years of military service, Lynda passed the CPA exam in 1998 prior to joining our firm.
When she's not working, Lynda enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter. Time permitting, she loves to sew, cross-stitch, read and bake brownies.
Denise Y. Noble, CPA
Senior Staff Accountant
A native of Arizona, Denise moved to the San Antonio area in 2009. She attended Keller Graduate School of Management in Phoenix, Arizona, where she earned a Masters in Accounting & Finance Management. She received her Arizona CPA license in 2001. Denise has 17+ years of experience in the roles of CFO and Controller. In addition, she has 4 years experience in public accounting specializing in the area of tax for closely held entities.
For relaxation, Denise enjoys singing in her church choir, reading and going for long walks discovering all that San Antonio has to offer.

Aynalem B. Tegene, CPA
Staff Accountant
Aynalem received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in
accounting from the National University in San Diego. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, she
had worked in public accounting for six years and five years in the accounting industry. Aynalem obtained her CPA license in 2003.
When she is not working, Aynalem enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Catherine R. Bell, CPA
Staff Accountant
She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor of Accountancy in 2003 and her Masters of Accountancy in 2004. She worked as an accountant for a CPA firm in Jackson, MS, and earned her Mississippi CPA license in September of 2005. Catherine continued working in public accounting for 4 years prior to moving to Texas and joining the firm.
Catherine enjoys shopping, cooking, reading and spending time with her husband, her golden retriever and their families and friends.

Dustin R. Michalak, CPA
Staff Accountant
Dustin graduated from S. Edwards University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2005 with concentrations in accounting and management. Prior to graduation, Dustin interned with the firm for two summers while earning his degree. He obtained his CPA license in 2009.
Dustin’s activities outside the firm include fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his wife.

Natasha Holton, CPA
Staff Accountant
Natasha is originally from Ukraine. After relocating to the United States, she earned her Master’s in Accounting in 1999 in South Florida and obtained her CPA license in 2000. While in South Florida she worked for KPMG and another firm in the investment industry. Subsequently, she relocated to California with her husband and family where she was in public accounting for five years.
Natasha’s personal interests include yoga, running and volunteer work within the local San Antonio community.

Marci H. Payne, QuickBooks® Pro-Advisor
Marci earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting from Texas Tech University in 1984. She worked in the Texas Panhandle before moving to San Antonio in 2001. Marci has over 24 years of experience in public accounting.
Marci enjoys playing the flute in her church orchestra, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three children.
Cheryl L. Trevino
Cheryl earned her BBA in December 1988 from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Cheryl was an accounting manager for a real estate development group and has experience in the transportation industry prior to joining our firm in 2007.
Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies, which include playing the guitar, cooking and camping.

Cori M. Heep
Cori joined the firm in November of 2009. She received her Master’s of Accountancy from Texas State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Business, with concentration in Accounting, from Texas Lutheran University. Cori has over 6 years of public accounting experience and 2 years of industry experience, working for Valero Energy.
Cori enjoys lifting weights, motorsports, working on cars, twizzlers, and spending time with loved ones and her Great Dane.

Kristy P. Valdivia
Kristy is a native of Galveston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009. She is currently pursuing additional college credit to obtain her master’s degree and qualify to take the CPA exam.
Kristy loves reading, movies, dancing, shopping, photography and spending time with her family, friends and her Pomeranian, Honey.

John B. Dunn
John has a bachelor’s of finance from Texas A&M University, Kingsville and a bachelor’s of accounting from Texas A&M University, San Antonio, where he’s currently pursuing a master’s in accounting with an expected graduation date of May, 2011. John has 10 years experience as a Financial Advisor, 3 years in the banking industry and is an Army veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He is serving as President of the Accounting Society at Texas A&M, San Antonio and is a member of the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his free time John enjoys spending time with his family, rifle and pistol shooting, weight lifting and playing softball.

Jennifer C. Latimer, QuickBooks® Advanced Pro-Advisor

A native of Ohio, Jennifer moved to Texas in 1993 and has been working in the accounting profession since 1990. To help better serve our clients, Jennifer is a certified QuickBooks® Pro-Advisor providing expertise to help businesses set up new accounting systems, as well as manage and maintain existing QuickBooks® files. She is also familiar with Peachtree and Sage Master Builder.
Jennifer enjoys a variety of music and movies, traveling and finding new roads to explore on the Harley with her husband and friends. She also enjoys spoiling her Basset Hound.

Diane Salinas

Diane comes to us with over 25 years of accounting experience with a concentration in both construction and agriculture. Diane moved to San Antonio in 1999 from Corpus Christi, Texas where she worked in both public accounting and the agricultural industry.
Diane enjoys country music & dancing, but most of all traveling to see her two sons, both of which are active duty U.S. Marines.

Andrea I. Nairne, CB
Firm Administrator
Andrea worked in the accounting field for a number of years before joining Ridout Barrett & Co., P.C. Andrea is a Certified Bookkeeper (CB), and earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education with a concentration in accounting from Wayland Baptist University.
Andrea is originally from Germany and enjoys traveling, ballroom dancing, photography and cooking.

Beverly J. Broadnax
Administrative Assistant
Beverly has over 26 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Beverly was self-employed as a legal assistant. She attended legal assistant courses at San Antonio College.
Beverly’s favorite activities outside the firm are swimming, bicycling, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two sons, and three grand children.

Sandra I. Uribe
Part-time File Clerk
Sandra has been with the firm since November 2003 on a part-time basis. Her primary responsibilities include taking care of our client files and scanning records.
Outside the office, Sandra enjoys listening to music, surfing the internet, barbecuing, and spending quality time with her children and family.
