Roland S. Godsey, CPA
Tax Manager

Roland joined the firm in December of 2002. After serving 8 years in the United States Air Force he attended Tarleton State University, where he earned a B. A. in Business, with a concentration in accounting. He received his Texas CPA license in 1983. After working in public accounting in Texas, he moved to California were he obtained his California CPA certification in 1996.

Roland enjoys collecting and reading first edition mysteries and western fiction, creating music CD's from old recordings, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs.


Kathleen Dvorak, CPA
Small Business Services Manager

Kathleen joined the firm on November 1, 2004. She attended The University of Texas at
Austin and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Kathleen earned her CPA license in
1988. Prior to public accounting she spent 15 years in business management. Kathleen’s various duties include tax and accounting functions for our small business clients.

For relaxation, Kathleen enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering with the local CPA Society.


Lynne M. Grix, CPA, CFE
Senior Forensic Auditor

Lynne joined the firm in September 2002. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Lynne moved to
Texas in 1978, after receiving her MBA degree from The University of Michigan. She earned her Texas CPA license in 1981. In addition to over 10 years of public accounting experience, Lynne also has over 20 years experience as a controller or CFO in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retailing and banking. She holds securities licenses series 7, 62,
63 and a Group 01 insurance license. She specializes in qualified retirement plans for small and medium size businesses. In December 2006, Lynne achieved a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Austin, Texas.

Lynne's activities outside the firm include golfing and traveling.




Lynda L. Land, CPA
Senior Staff Accountant

Lynda earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University
of Phoenix. Lynda worked as an accountant for the San Antonio Board of Realtors, and a private family prior to joining the United States Air Force. After nine years of military service, Lynda passed the CPA exam and joined our firm. She has been a licensed CPA since 1998.

When she's not working, Lynda enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter. Time permitting, she loves to sew, cross-stitch, read and bake brownies.


Cindy G. Valenzuela, CPA
Staff Accountant

Cindy received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1983. She obtained her CPA license in September 1986. Cindy has worked with our firm for over 20 years and came
back on a full-time basis in January 2006.

Cindy enjoys traveling, interior decorating, shopping, and most of all spending time with her husband and two children.





Aynalem B. Tegene, CPA
Staff Accountant

Aynalem received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in
accounting from the National University in San Diego. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, she
had worked in public accounting for six years and five years in the accounting industry. Aynalem obtained her CPA license in 2003.

When she is not working, Aynalem enjoys spending time with her family and friends.





Marci H. Payne

Marci has worked for the firm since September 2004. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting from Texas Tech University in
1984. Marci has over 24 years of experience in public accounting. She worked in the Texas Panhandle before moving to San Antonio in 2001.

Marci enjoys playing the flute in her church orchestra, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three children.




Dustin R. Michalak

Dustin joined us in January 2005. He graduated from St. Edwards University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with concentrations in accounting and management. Prior to graduation, Dustin interned with us for two summers while earning his degree. Currently, he is gaining experience in many areas of the firm and is actively pursuing his Certified Public Accountant’s license.

Dustin’s activities outside the firm include fishing, hunting, soccer, and spending time with
his wife.





Jill E. Foegelle

Jill came to work for our firm in September 2006. She graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville
in San Antonio, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting.

Jill’s favorite things outside her duties at the firm are traveling, pilate's, taking walks,
cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog.


Cheryl L. Trevino

Cheryl has been with the firm since November 2007. She earned her BBA in December
1988 from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Before transitioning to public accounting, Cheryl was an accounting manager for a real estate development group. In addition, Cheryl has experience in the transportation industry.

Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies, which include playing the guitar, cooking and camping.


Tamara J. Black, PHR
Human Resource Services

Tamara comes to us as a previous small business owner with a background and education
in Human Resources.  She has a B. S. in Psychology and an M. S. in Human Resource Management, both from Texas A&M University in College Station and currently maintains a PHR Certification (Professional in Human Resources). 

Tamara's a water skier, though no longer competing, and loves old movies!


Jennifer C. Latimer, QuickBooks® Pro-Advisor
Small Business Services

Jennifer came to us in July 1998. A native of Ohio, Jennifer moved to Texas in 1993 and
has been working in the accounting profession since 1990. To help better serve our clients, Jennifer has become a certified QuickBooks® Pro-Advisor. This certification gives her the expertise to help businesses set up a new accounting system, as well as manage and maintain existing QuickBooks® files. She is also familiar with Peachtree and Sage Master Builder.

Jennifer enjoys a variety of music and movies, traveling and finding new roads to explore on the Harley with her husband and friends. She also enjoys spoiling her two Basset hounds.


Diane C. Salinas
Small Business Services

Diane is the most recent addition to the staff at Ridout Barrett & Co., P.C.   She comes to
us with over 25 years of accounting experience with a concentration in both construction
and agriculture.  Diane moved to San Antonio in 1999 from Corpus Christi, Texas where she worked in both public accounting and the agricultural industry. 

Diane enjoys country music & dancing, but most of all traveling to see her two sons, both of which are active duty U.S. Marines.





Andrea I. Nairne, CB

Firm Administrator

Andrea joined the firm in October 2006. She has been working in the accounting field for numerous years before joining Ridout Barrett & Co., P.C. Andrea is a Certified Bookkeeper (CB), and earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education with a concentration in accounting from the Wayland Baptist University.

Andrea is originally from Germany and enjoys traveling, ballroom dancing, photography and cooking.




Beverly J. Broadnax

Administrative Assistant

Beverly joined the firm in September 2000. She has over 26 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Before working for Ridout Barrett & Co., P.C., Beverly was self-employed as a legal assistant. She attended legal assistant courses at San Antonio College.

Beverly’s favorite activities outside the firm are swimming, bicycling, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two sons, and three grand children.


Evelyn A. Figueroa
Receptionist

Evelyn came to work for the firm in October 2007. Prior to joining our firm she worked in the food service industry. She is currently attending classes at San Antonio Community College.

Evelyn enjoys interior decorating, traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.




Sandra I. Uribe

Part-time File Clerk

Sandra has been with the firm since November 2003 on a part-time basis. Her primary responsibilities include taking care of our client files and scanning records.

Outside the office, Sandra enjoys listening to music, surfing the internet, barbecuing, and spending quality time with her children and family.
